Encompassing approximately 800 square miles in Central Alabama at the southernmost extension of the Appalachian Mountains, the County offers diverse amenities in a temperate climate with dramatic landscapes.

Alumni

Leadership Shelby County Alumni fosters the goals and purposes of Leadership Shelby County by sustaining within each graduate the momentum for progress and continue networking relationships by informing and educating members about current issues and challenges facing the County.

Congratulations to these two awesome seniors! Oak Mountain High School’s Prom Queen, Abby O’Dell and Prom King, Chris Weston….also Youth @leadershipshelbycounty Class of 2022 graduates!! Join one of the Youth Leadership Shelby County project groups next weekend for a child sex trafficking training in partnership with Blanket Fort Hope. Blanket Fort Hope is a nonprofit organization that works with children who are victims of sex trafficking by housing them and counseling them. The majority of the children they work with are girls between the ages of 12-17. In the month of February, the Youth Leadership Shelby County Class of 2023 experienced Justice Day! They got to gain knowledge and understanding of law enforcement, the court system, and juvenile services. Here's to a new month with another great class day in the books for these awesome students. The month of February was a great month for the Leadership Shelby County Class of 2023. Economic Development Day was a great success. Our goal was to provide information about the various organizations that work together to promote economic development in Shelby County. Thank you to our contributors that helped accomplish this goal! The good times rolled at yesterday’s beads & brews alumni social! Thank you to everyone who made this event happen and all who attended. Tonight! We are so excited for the Beads & Brews Alumni Social happening next week! The link to RSVP has been emailed. We can't wait to see you there and laissez les bon temps rouler! Congratulations to Youth LSC Class of 2022 graduate, Abby O’Dell of Oak Mountain High School for being selected as the Shelby County Reporter’s athlete of the Week!! It's time to mark your calendars for some upcoming dates! Get ready for an array of fun Leadership Shelby County events. Stay tuned for details.
